meet LARRY HEBERT
Larry Hebert has been a small business advocate for 40 years through his entrepreneurial ventures, golf retail tenure at highly-coveted Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz, CA, as well as his retail ownership and consulting firm (LarryHebertConsulting.com) and tenure as a Small Business Development Center Advisor. His primary consulting focus has been in the financial arena consisting of cash flow management, forecasting, financial analysis and inventory management. Known as the “Cash Flow King”, Larry has helped hundreds of businesses turn around and grow by managing their cash more effectively, increasing the profitability through the creation of profit margins and expense management, and by controlling their inventory purchases.
He is the creator of the OpenToBuy.co, a proprietary inventory management template designed to ensure every retail business manages their purchases effectively through crucial metrics including sales, cost of goods sold, beginning inventory, inventory turns, creating a base inventory and product category management tied to their sales relative to overall revenue generated. These key factors work in tandem and simultaneously when data is entered to identify exactly how much is available to spend each month and for the remainder of the year by product and overall and in real-time as data is entered. This was developed over a seven-year period and has been instrumental in the turnaround and success of retail businesses implementing this into their purchasing strategies.
Larry’s career also includes being the regional and national Sales Manager for Reebok International Golf division as well as the Northern California Director and Senior Advisor for the Executive MBA program at the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University where he also earned his MBA degree from. He has also served on numerous boards of directors for both public and private companies.
Prior to his business career Larry played professional baseball and was a golf professional.

While having been in marketing for over two decades, owned two businesses, and have acquired a graduate degree in sports business from University of San Francisco, it's without a doubt that business & marketing strategy is what I live and breathe 24/7. And that's why I've partnered up with my friend and colleague to develop OpenToBuy.co to help the golf course industry go BIG!
As a sports marketing and video content strategist, helping local sports-focused businesses is at my core since I left the corporate world of global ad agencies, sports marketing groups and large-scale retail & entertainment destinations. I've been fired up and actively pursuing this mission for 10 plus years via my advocacy, private practice + work with several of the nation's top-performing Small Business Development Centers.
In my spare time, you can find me spending a lot of time with family and finding that window to head out to the driving range, try my best at HYROX fitness, and pedal my mountain bike through redwood forests of Santa Cruz, CA.
